The state of Louisiana launched the Government Efficiency Management Support Project to compile a comprehensive analysis of government operations and to recommend potential efficiency improvements. Report recommendations focus both on agency-specific observations as well as on statewide concerns. Recommendations cover a variety of topics such as cross-agency centralization and human capital management. The report features operational plans for service delivery improvement, and includes an overarching procurement analysis and a strategic sourcing methodology. Of particular note, the report includes a detailed project implementation plan listing affected stakeholders and outlining necessary monitoring and tracking models. The report notes promising privatization models from other states that could be adopted in Louisiana.
