SmartBlockPHL is a pilot project in Philadelphia in partnership with Comcast, US Ignite, and Juganu that aims to attain real-time insights into air quality, weather, transportation and more. Sensor-based technologies affixed to streetlights collect the data in real time which then gets processed in the cloud.

AXIOS SEATTLE: Harrell Unveils Dashboard to Track Progress on Homelessness Response

City officials in Seattle just published a public-facing dashboard about the city’s unhoused population. This dashboard shows breakdowns of tents and RVs locations by neighborhood, counts of open shelter beds, and city budget breakdowns. This information will help inform the city’s response to assist unhoused residents and allow citizens to keep them accountable.
